The rates have climbed so high that now within the United Kingdom and the United States, the rate of cancer diagnoses in men is about 1 in 2 men and the rate in women is about 1 in 3. Survival rates can vary drastically depending on the cancer, at which stage it’s at, and the well-being/age of person diagnosed. The reality is, only 5-10% of cancers are genetically-based, meaning that the vast majority of cancers could be prevented.
